Criteria for Government Grants for Students
The government has very clear intentions of promoting the education among the students. The keen interest of the government is very clear from the availability of the free government grants that the government provides for the students for their education. The only criteria that must be fulfilled include that the student must be a citizen of US, must have a minimum required GPA and must be studying in one of the approved schools.

The amount that is provided depends on the GPA of the student as well as on the income of the family from which the student is coming. There are certainly some of the students that do not qualify for these grants.
This may be due to the fact that these are not the citizens of US, do not have optimum GPA or may be studying in any of the non approved schools. In such cases the student is bound to go for a private loan.
