Ertalyte-New Age Material
Ertalyte is un-reinforced, semi crystalline, thermoplastic polyester based on PET-P (polyethylterephthalate). It is manufactured from a proprietary resin prepared by Quadrant. Ertalyte is rendered as having the excellent dimensional stability along with a low friction co-efficient, superb wear resistance, inertness to acidic solutions, and high power.
Ertalyte’s properties make it the most appropriate material for the construction of precision parts; which must be capable of enduring wear circumstances and supporting high loads. It’s unremitting examine temperature is 101°C (215°F) and melting point is almost 160°F which is higher compared to acetals. It doesn’t its unique strength up to 90°C (190°F) compared to acetal and nylon. In addition, to all this it offers superior abrasion and chemical opposition. Ertalyte property of absorbing low humidity enables electrical and mechanical properties to continue without being affected by dampness.
